About The Maybe Practice
Built to help you need the app less.
The Maybe Practice creates calm digital tools for moments when doubt turns uncertainty into repeated checking, reassurance, replay, research, or avoidance.
Our purpose
Return over relief
The aim is ordinary action without first requiring certainty or a particular feeling.
Independence over engagement
Less need for the app can be a meaningful sign that the practice is moving into daily life.
Boundaries over answers
MAYBE does not investigate the feared story, estimate risk, reconstruct memory, or give reassurance.
How research informs MAYBE
We prioritize independent clinical guidelines, systematic reviews, and randomized studies. MAYBE borrows one central behavioural principle from CBT with exposure and response prevention: notice the extra certainty action, leave it out, and continue while uncertainty remains.
Evidence-informed does not mean proven by MAYBE. Research on an approach does not establish that this app diagnoses, prevents, treats, or cures a condition. MAYBE is a brief behavioural wellness companion, not a complete treatment programme.

Health and safety limits
MAYBE provides information and behavioural support, not healthcare. It does not diagnose OCD, determine whether a concern is real, assess risk, provide treatment, create an individual exposure plan, or replace professional judgment. Using the app or emailing us does not create a clinician-patient or therapist-client relationship.
